It also offers a summary of the discussed proposals, which will support the guidelines for the definition of PAA Africa phase 2.
The PAA Africa knowledge sharing workshop happened in Dakar, from 23-25 April 2013 aiming at promoting a venue for exchanging experiences regarding the operational and the learning components of the Programme among participating countries and organizations. It is an attempt to bring the diverse views, expectations, challenges and experiences in implementing the Programme, encouraging debate and evaluation of the current activities and discussing potential ways forward. Around 50 people attended the Workshop, including government representatives of the 5 PAA Africa countries, FAO and WFP representatives, both from country offices and from Headquarters, Brazilian experts and representatives of civil society.
